goood deal July 15, 2009 C. Thompson (ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got these and they work fine out of my ncstar crossbow. Out of 100 shots and 36 arrows, only one broke.
Good for target practice, durable January 21, 2010 Hank G. Some other reviewers have noted that their bolts have "broken". I use these plastic bolts with my 80 lb. Cobra crossbow pistol and have shot hundreds of bolts into many different types of targets. Although these reviewers do not explain what they mean when they say the plastic bolts break, I believe they are referring to the tendency for some of the metal tips on some bolts to pull off when they stick in hard or layered (cardboard, etc.)targets. When/if this happens, you can glue the tips back on with Superglue or any other strong adhesive and continue using the bolt. Just drip a little glue into the hollow back of the tip and press the plastic shaft down into it firmly. Wipe off the excess glue. This is not a big deal. The rest of the bolt is one piece of molded plastic and is virtually indestructible. Hope this helps.
Pistol Crossbow Bolts March 15, 2010 J. Doyle (Northeast, USA) I only received black ones, which is why I gave it four stars. If you're using these for target practice, make sure the target area is light-colored or you may lose most of them. I may add some white or yellow paint on the shafts or plastic "feathers" to make these more visible. I also found that removing the tips and adding Krazy Glue to the area prior to replacing the tips will keep them on for much longer.
Also, these are MUCH better than the aluminum bolts - I shot the same bolt eight times without a problem (the bolt is still going strong), while with the aluminum bolts, I got four shots out of three bolts before they all broke.
Colors not availble February 25, 2010 C. Moran Did not recieve colored darts as they were not available. Black ones recieved are good quality.
ok March 17, 2010 Judy K. Boyd (ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO, US) what you need to know about these is that they are typically cheap ive bought two sets of these one set was junk other one i still have it depends really on luck always think about this before a purchase also these are able to be used for killing but they are not practical if your looking to kill something like squirrels then these will do the tric but if your looking at taking out anything bigger than a racoon then look other places these will just hurt the thing and piss it off.
